Well, who would have thought that a simple request to capture the wonderful people in my town, would have such an amazing response!!
The thinking behind this project is to create a memory for people, their children and their grand children. What we are going through has only been experienced by a few during the Spanish flu, who are now 100 years or older.
It is probably the biggest wake up call that this world has had since the second World War.
I sincerely hope that we all learn to be kinder, more tolerant, more loving and more patient with all those that we meet.
My journey of meeting people who I don't know, starts in the next few days, and I am so excited to be given the honour of taking so many photos of all of these people and their families...
We have called this Portal Portraits because the photos will be taken either through a window, in their porch or by their front door. This is in order for us all to abide by the government ruling of a 2 metre distance between people.
Let the adventure begin....
